Exciting Apprenticeship in Fitter and Turner Mechanical – 2nd Year Apprentice wanted

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre, in conjunction with our host organisation Nu-Pure Beverages, a well-established manufacturer located in the Stapylton area are currently looking to recruit a Fitter and Turner mechanical apprentice to enter their workshop operations in early 2021.
Nu-Pure Beverages is a personalized, family owned business. Our directors have over 20 years experience in the beverage industry providing us with extensive knowledge of consumer insight, manufacturing, sales, distribution and customer service. Nu-Pure Beverages is a family owned company manufacturing 100% Australian made products.
This exciting opportunity awaits for an energetic self-starter with a can-do attitude in the field of Engineering Mechanical Fitter and Turning to join this growing company. You will enjoy being a problem solver and working in a high paced environment. No day will ever be the same!

This opportunity would suit a 2nd year engineering apprentice, school leaver or pre-voc student whom has interest and experience in the Fitter and Turner field.

A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade Apprenticeship MEM30205 would generally be involved in:
> setting up of machinery to enable the manufacture of engineering products
> repair and replacement of components, parts or other items
> installation of plant and machinery
> design and manufacture of modifications to existing components parts and other items
> maintenance of plant and equipment, and
> construction and commissioning work.

This apprenticeship is in a Skills Shortage Trade.

The Role: Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
> You will have a mentor Tradesperson to work alongside throughout your training and development
> Adjusting machines, ensuring Safety, Quality and Efficiency always
> Conduct Preventative Maintenance
> Exposure to aspects of Milling/Lathe and grinding equipment

You will be:
> Thinking Safety before anything else
> Detail oriented
> Have wonderful time management skills
> A positive mental attitude and willingness to listen and learn

This is a full time apprenticeship offering a Certificate III Trade qualification. Training fees, PPE, and other costs are all covered by Ai Group ATC

Desirable requirements:
> Car and license
> Competent math skill
> Minimum Year 12 schooling completion
> Own transport to Staplyton, may include tolls.
> Be OHS safety focused and possess a sincere interest to successfully complete your chosen trade

Mandatory requirements:
Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation who employs apprentices and trainees then places them with Host Organisations.  We provide support for all apprentices and trainees by way of our mentoring program which fits in with a regular cycle of visiting in the workplace and training provider.  We are there to assist and guide you through not only the apprenticeship/traineeship but where necessary provide support and assistance to allow you to successfully complete your work and training commitments and gain your qualification.
