CERTIFICATE III WAREHOUSING GENERAL (Plastics Industry)

On Behalf of our client, Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre are currently seeking a reliable, energetic and motivated individual to commence as a Warehouse Trainee. This highly responsible and multi-faceted position is part of a unique, family owned, busy company.  

This is a very unique industry and one that will appeal to hard working physical types who have a passion for showing initiative and following strict timelines. There is also the opportunity to be fully trained in the use of operating certain machinery.
The function of this position is to preserve all company stores in a neat, orderly fashion and maintain accurate corresponding documentation and all stock movements goods receipts, issues to works, transfers between warehouses and dispatches are processed via our bespoke computer system.  
Whilst the majority of your time will be fulfilling typical stores functions eg, pick and pack; receipting goods, dispatching orders and maintaining computerised inventory records; there will be a requirement for you to contribute in other departments.  Some interest or understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operation would therefore be an advantage.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
> Able to manage own time, well organised
> Computer literate
> Physically fit
> Able to work in a team.
> Superior manual dexterity, being able to assemble small pieces in a set sequence, with complete accuracy
> Forklift licence a distinct advantage

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
> Must be an Australian Citizen or have right to work in this country

A Certificate III Warehousing Apprenticeship will involve:
> Operate as a team member to conduct manufacturing or related activities
> Perform computations
> Administer inventory procedures
> Operate mobile load shifting equipment
> Undertake manual handling
> Undertake warehouse receivable process
> Undertake warehouse dispatch process
> Package materials (stores and warehouse)
> Use hand tools

This is a full-time two-year traineeship offering a Certificate III qualification. Training fees, PPE, and other costs are all covered by Ai Group ATC.
