Position Title: Dual Electrical Qualification Degree Apprentice

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity for people who wish to combine practical applied skills with higher education knowledge in the rapidly expanding industrial electrical sector. Gain your trade qualification, an A Grade licence and engineering degree all while being employed fulltime. Leading to a rewarding career offering various pathways and opportunities upon graduating.
Successful candidates will undergo the Cert III Electrotechnology apprenticeship including the A Grade license combined with a bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering. The expected duration to complete this combination will be six years while being employed fulltime. Candidates will be released to attend classes during work hours and expected to carry out further study outside of these times.

Upon successful completion of the program the individual will hold the Certificate III trade qualification, receive the A Grade license from ESV, the bachelor’s degree and endorsement by Engineers Australia.

Duties may include:
  • Understand electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and diagrams to determine job requirements
  • Maintenance and repair of process plant & equipment
  • Test, find, and repair electrical problems
  • Assemble electrical and electronic appliances
  • Connect electrical equipment to power supplies  
  • Maintenace of gas systems on customer sites
About you:
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
  • Completed Year 12 (those in yr. 12 may apply contingent on results)
  • ATAR minimum 60
  • Minimum score of twenty in Units 3 & 4 for Maths Methods/Specialist and English
