About the company:

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre are working in partnership with Hitachi Global Air Power Australia to deliver their National Apprenticeship Program.  Hitachi Global Air Power Australia is a global leader in air compressors and accessories that delivers robust, reliable, and energy efficient compressed air solutions.

Their workshop is located in Ingleburn and you will be working in a secure, ongoing, supported environment where you will learn from industry leading professionals.

To secure this role you will need the following skills and personal attributes:
  • Learn quickly and have an eye for detail
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Enjoy working in a team and be highly motivated
  • Have a positive approach to workplace safety
You will be completing a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical and be trained in the following:
  • Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
  • Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components.
  • Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
  • Set up and operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
Mandatory requirements
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia
