As an Apprentice Machinist, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, learn the ins and outs of Machining, and develop your skills in a supportive, creative, and dynamic environment.

In this role, you'll start your journey by mastering basic machining skills and gradually progress to learning the ins and outs of manual lathes and milling machines. We're seeking individuals with a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and a burning passion for hands-on work. 

Location: Pooraka, SA

 Duties may include but not limited to:
  • Fabricating, assembling, repairing and maintaining various equipment and machinery
  • Operating equipment such as lathes, mills and drilling / welding equipment
  • Performing engineering measurements
  • Interacting with computing technology
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Performing fault finding diagnostics
  • Any other related tasks as directed by the host employer
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
  • Hold an understanding of basic engineering and maths principles
  • Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
  • Have great attention to detail, with high accuracy level standards and a knack for problem solving
  • Hold a valid drivers license and have reliable transport
Please note, to be eligible you must be an Australian citizen, Permanent resident, or hold a valid visa that allows you to work and undertake training in Australia.
