Apprentice of the Month – June 2025: Daniel Saxton

We’re proud to announce Daniel Saxton as our Apprentice of the Month for June 2025!

Daniel is a 3rd year boilermaker apprentice at Holcim Pooraka in South Australia, where he continues to impress with his technical skill, dedication, and attitude. Over the course of his apprenticeship, Daniel has consistently received glowing feedback from both his supervisor and leading hand, who describe him as a standout performer on site.

Recently, Daniel was recognised through Holcim’s peer-nominated reward system—a program where workers nominate fellow team members for exceptional contributions. His leading hand nominated him for his outstanding pad welding work, which earned Daniel a $150 reward last month. This recognition is a testament to the high regard in which he’s held by his colleagues.

Daniel has been involved in a wide range of fabrication and maintenance projects at Holcim Pooraka, including structural repairs and precision welding on batching plant infrastructure. His work has consistently met and, in the opinion of his supervisors, exceeded expectations. Known for his attention to detail and strong technical capability, Daniel approaches each task with professionalism and a commitment to quality. His ability to deliver high-standard results, take initiative, and maintain a strong learning mindset has made him a valued and respected member of the Holcim team.

His achievements reflect a level of maturity and professionalism well beyond his years. Daniel’s commitment to his trade and his continuous pursuit of excellence make him a deserving recipient of this recognition.

Congratulations, Daniel! Your dedication and craftsmanship are paving the way for a successful career, and we look forward to seeing your continued growth and achievements.
