About the Role: You’ll be joining a team that works on real world industrial projects, including building switchboards, wiring panels, and testing equipment. With full training, safety support and mentoring, you’ll gain experience across electrical and mechanical systems.

Your Responsibilities Will Include: - Wiring, testing, and assembling switchboards
- Hands-on use of tools, drills, and measuring equipment
- Learning to read and follow electrical drawings and schematics
- Supporting the team with workshop organisation and preparation
- Assisting with the installation and repair of electrical systems
Location & Hours
- Altona North, VIC
- 8:30am – 5:00pm
- 37.5 hours per week
Apprenticeship Details:
- 4 year paid Apprenticeship leading to Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- All training fees and PPE supplied
- Learn directly from experienced tradespeople and mentors
- Ongoing support from Ai Group and access to Australian Apprenticeship Support Loan
- Internal training opportunities with Hydac (virtual, in-person, and even VR!)
What We’re Looking For
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Completed Year 12 (maths and science subjects preferred)
- Certificate II in Electrotechnology highly regarded
- Strong interest in hands-on, mechanical, or technical hobbies
- Good with maths, problem-solving, and working with tools
- A go-getter attitude – someone keen to learn and progress into more advanced roles like engineering
