Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre are working in partnership with
Hitachi to deliver their National Apprenticeship Program. Hitachi is a global leader in air compressors and accessories that delivers robust, reliable, and energy efficient compressed air solutions. Their workshop located in
Dandenong, is equipped with some of the latest state-of-the-art multipurpose plant and equipment of the highest quality. The work environment is professional and the team well experienced, knowledgeable and supportive. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your apprenticeship career start!
You will be completing a Certificate III Engineering Mechanical and be trained in the following:
- Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task
- Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components.
- Using various techniques which include welding, bolting, and riveting to align, assemble, and fix pieces together to create parts and structures.
- Set up and operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines
- Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies
This role is located in
Dandenong, working
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm and will

About you: - Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- You must be committed to completing a 4 Year/Stage Apprenticeship
- Cert II Engineering and a Forklift license is desirable
- Drivers licence & and own transport required
- Learn quickly and have an eye for detail
- Possess a mechanical aptitude
- Enjoy working in a team and be highly motivated
- Have a positive approach to workplace safety
