Apprentice of the Month: April 2023

Our Apprentice of the Month for April is Kyle Cheeseman!

What a fantastic couple of months it’s been for our apprentices at Coca Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) in Sydney!

In February we acknowledged CCEP apprentice Chris Howell for his innovative safety work. Now this month, we have Kyle Cheeseman, a third-year apprentice in Mechanical Fitting and Maintenance, being recognised by his peers for his outstanding performance and dedication to his trade.

Kyle, who received CCEP’s Quarterly Performance and Recognition Award, was recognised for the outstanding work he conducted during a recent breakdown. When a clutch failed on a packer machine, Kyle removed it and replaced it with a chain coupling that he designed and developed himself using sprockets and duplex chain. His quick thinking enabled the machine to continue running, saving on down time and avoiding the machine being shut down for further repairs and maintenance.

CCEP Maintenance Team Manager Peter Henderson said: “We’re so proud of Kyle and his hard work. Along with our other engineering team members, it is always highly rewarding to have these technicians strive to make improvements to our machines and processes.”

Congratulations Kyle on being recognised as our April Apprentice of the Month!
