Apprentice of the Month: April 2024
Our Apprentice of the Month for April is Natasha Martin!
Natasha Martin, affectionately known as Tash at Wodonga Health, has been celebrated as the Ai Group’s Apprentice of the Month for her outstanding contributions to the Facility and Maintenance Department (Engineering). Tash commenced her apprenticeship back in 2021 and over the last three years, Tash has firmly established herself as an vital asset to the hospital’s maintenance team, leaving an indelible mark with her enthusiasm, wonderful sense of humour, and forward-thinking approach.
Throughout her apprenticeship to date at AWH, Tash has demonstrated remarkable versatility and proficiency, excelling not only in the upkeep of electrical systems but also actively participating in construction and renovation projects. Her meticulous attention to detail in deciphering and implementing electrical blueprints, coupled with her aptitude in diagnosing equipment faults, underscores her exceptional grasp of electrical systems.
According to Wodonga Health’s Facilities Manager, Ed King, “Tash’s dedication, professionalism, and hunger for knowledge have set her apart as an exemplary apprentice in our department. Witnessing her growth and advancement has been immensely gratifying, and I eagerly anticipate her future achievements in the field of electrical engineering.” Tash has showcased remarkable adaptability in navigating various systems, including nurse call, dry fire, MATV, and building management systems. As her team have mentioned, “Tash has truly been a phenomenal addition to our team.”
Tash acknowledges working in a hospital can provide some challenging situations, however she thoroughly enjoys mixing her time working on electrical systems and talking to patients to make their day a little brighter! Tash’s TAFE teachers have also provided glowing testimonials of Tash’s study and work ethic. Making Tash a standout apprentice who has a very bright future ahead!
