Apprentice of the Month: July 2023

Our Apprentice of the Month for June is Jake Dibben!

Our Apprentice of the Month for July is Jake Dibben. Since commencing his apprenticeship in January 2021, Jake has grown and developed impressive skills and knowledge.

The 20-year-old is hosted to Foamex, an Australian-made and owned company based in Edinburgh, South Australia.

Jake has been fortunate to work with a variety of tradespeople in his short time with Foamex and has already impressed his new supervisor, Adam, who only recently joined the business.

Adam said it was easy to spot Jake’s potential.

“Jake is already one of the best team members I’ve worked with, and I’ve been in the industry a long time,” he said.

“It has really helped me to settle into the business and get up to speed with the ways the company works.”

Studying a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering, Jake is gaining a wide variety of skills as a Maintenance Fitter that enable him to fix machines and make them safer and more efficient. He is also becoming proficient in understanding how items can be recycled more sustainably.

Jake’s Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre (Ai Group ATC) Employment & Training Consultant Lisa Pisano said Jake thoroughly deserved to be Apprentice of the Month.

“We are recognising Jake as we regularly receive feedback on his maturity and Initiative in the workplace,” she said.

“Hearing how well Jake is progressing makes my visits to the workplace so enjoyable.”

The team at Foamex were thrilled to hear about Jake’s award and gathered to celebrate when he received his certificate and voucher.

Congratulations Jake on being recognised as our July Apprentice of the Month!
