Apprentice of the Month – October 2025: Ethan Reading
We are thrilled to announce Ethan Reading as our Apprentice of the Month for October 2025!
Ethan, currently in the 4th stage of his fabrication apprenticeship, hosted with A J Baker in Adelaide, has consistently proven himself to be an extremely competent and valuable apprentice. His reliability, eager attitude to learn, and infectious positive demeanour have made him a deserving recipient of this recognition.
Ethan has been a core part of the A J Baker team since starting his training in January 2022. His most impressive attribute, beyond his growing skill on the tools, is his remarkable willingness to have a go at anything asked of him. He doesn’t just strive for his own growth; his friendly attitude is contagious, tending to bring out the best in those around him.
As a 4th-year apprentice, Ethan has been instrumental in the full cycle of the company’s work. He not only contributes to the built products in the workshop but also works on-site installing them. This places him as one of the key faces of the company, a responsibility he clearly understands, as he conducts himself above what is asked of him in every interaction.
According to all at AJ Baker, Ethan is a genuine pleasure to work with and to have around the workplace. Ethan’s consistency, competence, and impressive positive influence in the workplace set him apart as a high-achieving apprentice. The team at A J Baker is so confident in his future that they will most certainly be offering him a full-time job at the completion of his apprenticeship.
The Apprentice of the month award recognises not only Ethan’s technical growth in fabrication but also his outstanding initiative, leadership by example, and the professional maturity he brings to his trade every single day.
