About the Role:
Working alongside experienced tradespeople and qualified mentors, you’ll be involved in practical, varied, and hands-on engineering projects. From day one, you’ll be learning by doing! Operating machines, working with tools, and contributing to real production tasks.
  
This role is ideal for recent school leavers or anyone starting out who wants to gain a nationally recognised qualification while getting paid.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Basic machining and CNC machine setup
  • Operating CNC lathes, milling machines, and manual machines
  • Using and maintaining hand and power tools safely
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and workshop instructions
  • Working in a production machine shop environment
  • Learning mechanical engineering principles through practical application
Location & Hours:
Coburg North, VIC
Monday–Friday, 6:45am – 3:15pm
38 hours per week
1 accrued RDO per month

Apprenticeship Details:
  • 4-year paid Apprenticeship leading to a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM30219)
  • All training fees and PPE fully covered (includes safety gear and uniforms)
  • Learn from qualified mentors and supervisors (4 licensed staff on-site)
  • Ongoing training and development through your chosen RTO/TAFE
  • Exposure to real-world engineering tasks and equipment
What We’re Looking For:
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Certificate II in Engineering highly regarded
  • Interest in mechanical/hands-on work
  • Good maths and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate, consistent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Physically capable and keen to work with tools and machinery daily
  • A good attitude, energy, and motivation
