About the role: Our host employer is at the forefront of the market in designing, implementing, and supporting industrial electrical and automation systems. Their products range from switchboards and control panels to automation and control units.
As an Electrical Apprentice you be learning to work with
switchboards and to understand lockout/tagout procedures. You will also be introduced to electrical testing instruments, learn to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and assist qualified Trades with installations, modifications, and repairs.
Working with various hand and power tools your duties may include;
- Assisting with the installation, modification, and repair of electrical systems
- Cutting, drilling, and preparing panels and enclosures
- Mounting switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, meters, and other devices
- Performing basic wiring and cable termination under supervision
- Labelling and identifying components and wiring correctly
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Keeping the workshop clean and organised
This role is located in
Castle Hill working
Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.30pm, including
1x RDO per month.
* This role will require some regular travel and candidates should note that regular work is required in an abattoir setting.

About you: - Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- Minimum completion of Year 12 High School
- Certificate II in Electrotechnology is highly recommended – this will give you a strong head start!
- Driver’s License and reliable transport
- You have an aptitude for maths and science
- The successful applicant must be vaccinated for Q Fever
