About the role:
Our host employer is a global leader in food and beverage production, employing around 5,000 staff across Oceania with Australia being is its second largest export market.  Applications are now open for Jan 2026 with multiple vacancies available for Maintenance Fitter Apprentices Wahgunyah area.  This is a fantastic opportunity to get your apprenticeship career start!

As an Apprentice, some of the things you will do are;

• Operate and adjust production machines 
• Run diagnostic checks, and troubleshoot to identify problems in production 
• Design new components and systems using CAD/CAM systems 
• Repair machines and build components in repair of facilities 
• Use programs to monitor machine processes and performance 
• Perform changeovers/setups, preventative maintenance, and fault finding 
• Examine and evaluate specifications for the requirements for a task 
• Operate and adjust machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components 
• Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines 
• Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools and welding equipment 
• Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies

  
This role is located in Wahgunyah, working Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm with regular rostered days off (RDOs).

About you:

• Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• You must be committed to completing a 4 Year/Stage Apprenticeship
• Minimum completion of Year 11 High Schooling
• You will have a mechanical aptitude and be a team-player
• Eagerness to learn new skills and a positive approach to workplace safety
• Drivers licence & and own transport required
