About the role: A great opportunity to undertake your mechanical engineering apprenticeship assisting with the manufacture and assembly machines and equipment for the food and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries! These machines are commercial food packaging machines including liquid filling machines, automated bagging machines, and Augur Filling machines for the packaging of products in powder form.
You will have the opportunity to work in a workshop focused on safety and professional development. You'll receive training from a safety focused and supportive team while you build, fit, assemble, install the necessary components in the manufacture of machines that perform measured filling, bagging, sealing as well as robotic palletisers, and stretch wrappers. Working with various hand tools and machinery your duties may include;
- Learn to operate advanced machinery such as CNC Machines. lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Carry out manufacture of components that are used in the machinery
- Aid in troubleshooting mechanical issues and carry out preventative maintenance
- Support the installing and commissioning of new machinery and systems at customer locations

Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.30pm

About you: - Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
- Minimum completion of Year 10 High School
- Driver’s License and reliable transport
- Possess a mature attitude and a degree of mechanical aptitude
- You love working with metal and with advanced machinery
