About the role: Our host company is a South Australian manufacturing and export success story. Evolving from a small scientific laser company to a global leader in medical technologies they are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineering apprentice to join their team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the rhythm and focus of working independently on a machine, crafting high-quality components that contribute directly to life-changing ophthalmic medical devices. If you take pride in producing precision parts and find satisfaction in seeing a job well done, this position offers a stable, hands-on environment where your skills truly make a difference. While the work can be repetitive, it’s also deeply rewarding—each part you create plays a role in improving vision and quality of life for people around the world. Working with various hand tools and machinery your duties may include;
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
This role is located in
Mawson Lakes, working
Monday to Friday 7.30am – 3.30pm
