For Employers

In collaboration with the NSW Department of Education, Ai Group Apprentice & Trainee Centre is offering a great opportunity for businesses to assist students transitioning from school to industry. Through a funded part-qualification program, candidates engage in introductory units in various qualifications, such as;

  • UEE30820 – Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • BSB30120 Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration)
  • ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology
  • CHC330121- Certificate III in Individual Support

This initiative ensures that individuals can explore these fields of study, helping them make informed decisions about their career paths.

To complement the study, we are looking for Expressions of Interest from businesses willing to take candidates on for two weeks voluntary work experience, to provide candidates the additional practical exposure to the industry.

Upon successful completion of the program, your business will have the option of rolling candidates into a 24-month traineeship or a 4-year apprenticeship through us as the employer taking care of the ongoing management of the trainee/ apprentice with no obligation to employ after the traineeship finishes.

In addition to your studies, Ai Group ATC is partnering with businesses in the relevant industry sectors to offer candidates a two-week voluntary work experience. This practical exposure to the industry will enhance your understanding of the field.

Upon successfully completing the program, you’ll have the option to continue onto either a 24-month traineeship or a 4-year apprenticeship with Ai Group ATC as your employer. We are committed to providing ongoing support to help you become a fully qualified professional.

What You’ll Experience:

Our program provides you with the opportunity to:

  • Explore vocational choices and gain insights into the world of work.
  • Receive support and advice from a Group Training Organisation (GTO) and our Training Partner providers to select the most suitable pre-apprenticeship or pre-traineeship program.
  • Begin your training journey.
  • Benefit from mentoring and assistance whenever needed.
  • Seamlessly transition into a full apprenticeship or traineeship qualification.

Eligibility

Students eligible for pre-apprenticeship or pre-traineeship training include those who:

  • Have recently left school.
  • Meet the Smart and Skilled student eligibility criteria to participate in the training.

Ai Group ATC would like to share that our ‘NSW Part Qualification Project’ has entered its operational phase, marking a significant step in supporting students transitioning from school to industry. We’re grateful for the responses and interest received during the application period.

As of 1st February, applications for the project are now closed. Our collaboration with training providers and NSW Training Services will continue until May 2024, ensuring students are well-prepared through part qualification training courses. We’ve witnessed strong enthusiasm from students, particularly those interested in IT, and are excited about fostering work placement opportunities in partnership with industry leaders.

Whilst the program is continuing, applications unfortunately cannot be received for this specific program. However stay tuned for some exciting news coming soon about further entry level programs in NSW, and of course, if you are interested in an apprenticeship or traineeship, feel free to register your interest.
